Today has been quite a trying day. Each of the mini-muses have been running fevers over the course of the last couple of days, and so I took them in to the Pediatrician today, e-mailing my professors and letting them know why I was not in class. K-Muse was diagnosed with Bronchitis, Son-shine was diagnosed with a lovely double ear infection, and Pookie seems to be trying to kick a virus' butt right now. So K-Muse is on a high end cough suppressant and a pretty potent antibiotic. Son-shine is on Amoxicillin, and still bouncing between a low grade 99.5 degree fever up to 102.9. While both girls are hovering at low grade fevers themselves. Pookie has been ornery today, little scrapper that she is, and I have had a rough time of it.
But it was K-Muse that topped off the day for me, little squirt. She asked me, "Mom, do you wish I would stop being so sarcastic?"
I laughed, and asked her if she even knew what that word meant. She thought for a minute and said, "Mom, you're soooooo skinny."
Yep. The 7 year old child definitely understands the concept of sarcasm. She has great potential.
